Adjustment and attachment of MARATHON Bracelet

Please do not attempt if you are not confident. There is always risk of damage and injury during this process, please proceed at your own risk. When in doubt please leave it for professional watchmaker and jeweler.

Marathon’s divers bracelet’s pins and screws are secured by silicon agent therefore you would require a special tool. Two sets of screw driver will not loosen the screws. Please be aware that you might cause damage if you remove the screw by force.  We will now show you the basic procedure of bracelet adjustment.

1. We will begin by outlining the necessary tools for this procedure.

- 1.40mm width Driver
- Bergeon No.6670 bracelet adjustment tool  (if the edge appears to be thick, you may have to reduce it by using sandpaper)
- Spring Bar Tool
- Scotch tape (optional)

2. First, we will remove pin & screws at the buckle part. Align the driver and Bergeon No.6670 tool and set the bracelet in place.

3. Clamp the vise and unscrew the other side with screw driver. Apply enough pressure on the screw so that the screw tip will not dislodge.

4. Once the screw has been removed, using the pin point of the spring bar tool, push out the screw. (Please be careful not to scratch surface using the pint side of the spring bar tool).  When removing the screw you may notice some white residue, please proceed without wiping it as it is a silicon agent and it will prevent the screw from loosening. You do not need to use additional silicon agent. Please adjust the length using the same procedure. The link is about 1cm please refer to the chart below:

6. Now remove the rubber strap from you Marathon watch by using the spring bar tool’s pointy side to push through the spring bar hole on the side.  Be careful not to scratch your watch case during this procedure.  For the next step we will be using the same spring bar we have just removed.

11. One the spring bar has clicked into place, make sure you tug the bracelet firmly to confirm. Improper attachment will lead to bracelet coming off abruptly, possibly causing damage to the watch.
Repeat again for the 12o’clock side.
